We have been invited to attend the Garstang Children’s Festival
Garstang has been celebrating the Spring Bank Holiday for over 100 years, and the Festival has been running for many years. The festival will be great fun for all the family, especially the children and this year Glowbug Facepainting will be attending. After the crowning of the Festival Queen there will be a lot of fun things to do.
When is the Festival?
The festival is on the 29th May 2017.
There’s no simple answer to that. But based on the events from last year it will go something like this:
6.00 am Decorating the Market Cross.
10.00 am Procession starts to assemble.
11.00 am Crowning of the Festival Queen.
11.05 am Procession moves off, led by Morris Dancers.
After the procession events move onto the Moss Lane Playing Fields where there you will find us painting faces from 12pm until 5pm.
How much will it cost?
Its absolutely FREE! However we will be accepting donations for the cause if you are feeling kind. 😀
They can be found on their own website HERE. (opens in new tab.)
The site shows all the information of last years festival, however the procession follows the same route every year, and follows the same timetable every year.
